a high follower count transfem journalist over there noticed someone on Twitter had made a mod for Isabelle animal crossing to give her some modest boob and hips, a reposted it on bsky with something like "weird" as a comment along with it

and then things blew up terribly - reasonable criticism was met with doubling down, which led to accusations of her hating furries, which led to her saying she didn't but then doubling down in other weird ways

in the end she posted through it and it became a huge thing, with other saying awful things to her that were v disproportionate, and her totally missing the point of the valid critique wrt her deciding to use her platform to others who might want a mod like that
