Italian News by RSSIl Tempo: Premio Acea Contemporanea, Fiorino: "Acqua risorsa fragile, giovani artisti a confronto"
Roma, 19 mag.(Adnkronos) - “L'idea del Premio Acea Contemporanea nasce per sostenere i linguaggi contemporanei dei giovani talenti artistici attraverso tre istituzioni molto importanti: il Sae Institute, l'Accademia Italiana e l'Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma. L'idea è quella di far riflettere sulla cultura idrica e su una risorsa non infinita come l'acqua. ‘Flussi infiniti' è stato il tema su cui i ragazzi hanno lavorato: la risorsa idrica come risorsa fragile. I temi hanno attraversato tutte le discipline, dalla fotografia alla moda, dal design alla grafica, dal sound design alla videoarte. Ventiquattro di queste opere entreranno nella collezione permanente di Acea Heritage”. Lo ha dichiarato Sabrina Fiorino, responsabile iniziative culturali di Acea, a margine della premiazione del Premio Acea Contemporanea, che si è svolto a Roma presso il museo Acea Heritage. Il concorso, alla sua prima edizione, è stato promosso da Acea e Valore italia.
“I finalisti - ha proseguito Fiorino - sono stati scelti dalle proprie accademie, da alunni ed ex-alunni. Ci saranno tre opere premiate, una menzione speciale del comitato scientifico e una menzione speciale del pubblico. Abbiamo cercato di premiare chi ha curato e dato senso al nostro lavoro attraverso linguaggi diversi, più simbolici e poetici, cosa che normalmente la tecnica e l'industria non riescono a fare. Gli artisti infatti hanno utilizzato i linguaggi dell'empatia e della responsabilità che rappresentano i nostri valori aziendali”.
Fiorino ha poi illustrato il lavoro culturale portato avanti da Acea negli ultimi anni e che ha portato all'istituzione del premio: “Acea Heritage è un museo che nasce poco meno di un anno fa. Abbiamo intrapreso un percorso identitario e raccontato la storia dell'azienda entrando in contatto con quello che era il dialogo degli artisti con l'azienda negli anni '50. Da qui è stato intrapreso un percorso culturale in cui, insieme a fondazioni di riferimento, abbiamo rigenerato questo spazio. Nell'ex salone del pubblico dove si pagavano le bollette oggi abbiamo allestito un museo d'impresa che fa parte anche dei siti Fai. All'interno di questo percorso abbiamo costituito la Fondazione Acea e il Premio Acea Contemporanea”.
Acea Contemporary Prize, Fiorino: “Water: a fragile resource, young artists in competition”
Rome, May 19 (Adnkronos) - “The Acea Contemporary Award was created to support the contemporary languages of young artistic talents through three very important institutions: the Sae Institute, the Italian Academy, and the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome. The idea is to reflect on water culture and a resource that is not infinite, such as water. ‘Infinite Flows’ was the theme on which the students worked: water as a fragile resource. The themes have crossed all disciplines, from photography to fashion, from design to graphics, from sound design to video art. Twenty-four of these works will enter the permanent collection of Acea Heritage.” This was stated by Sabrina Fiorino, head of cultural initiatives at Acea, on the sidelines of the awarding ceremony for the Acea Contemporary Award, which took place in Rome at the Acea Heritage museum. The competition, in its first edition, was promoted by Acea and Valore Italia.
“The finalists – Fiorino continued – were selected by their academies, by students and former students. There will be three winning works, a special mention from the scientific committee, and a special mention from the public. We sought to reward those who have taken care of and given meaning to our work through different languages, more symbolic and poetic, something that technically and industry normally cannot do. The artists, in fact, used the languages of empathy and responsibility, which represent our corporate values.”
Fiorino then illustrated the cultural work carried out by Acea in recent years, which led to the establishment of the award: “Acea Heritage is a museum that was created just under a year ago. We have undertaken an identity journey and told the story of the company by entering into contact with the dialogue between artists and the company in the 1950s. From here, we embarked on a cultural journey in which, together with leading foundations, we have regenerated this space. In the former public hall where bills were paid, we have set up a corporate museum that is also part of the Fai sites. Within this journey, we established the Acea Foundation and the Acea Contemporary Award.”
