Happy International Museum Day. To celebrate here is a photo of the famous dinosaur gallery at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin. The Giraffatitan still holds the record (I think) for the tallest reconstructed dinosaur skeleton exhibit in the world.

@EverythingDinosaur That hall is very rough to beat. I think maybe the single best room in any museum in the world. But the Giraffatitan, at 13.27 m, is not the tallest mount: that honour probably goes to the rearing Barosaurus in the AMNH rotunda, which the museum says is 50 feet (15 m) tall.
But the Barosaurus is entirely cast. Most of the Giraffatitan is real bone. (Though none of the neck and skull, which are the highest parts.)
@EverythingDinosaur my fav is the Spencer Museum of Art on the campus of #Kansas University. It was the second museum I ever visited (class trip, of course) but the creepy natural history displays in the first museum I visited (also class trip) scared me while the art didn’t
