The thing with *every* occasion that racists, fascists, or some other form of smooth-brained conservative realises a some form of artist isn't like them is that it's always the same: "oh, I thought your version of patriotism/in-crowding/whatever was like mine because <some stupid reason that was always clearly not right if you spent 5 seconds looking>."
