If you’re the kind of person who has a guest cottage or B&B, this is pretty much how you hope to find it when you go to clear it. We get variants of this, but it’s infrequently this.

@trib As someone who often uses Airbnb or guest cottages, I would never leave a room like this. I would leave used towels on the bathroom floor. If there are blankets I haven't used, they would be folded on a chair or in the wardrobe. But I really don't want to know what's underneath the sheets that cover the mattress I slept on. Most curtain rails I can't reach so I'm never going to flip curtains up on them.
@juliew2010 it doesn’t happen often. We ask for used towels in the shower and that beds are left unmade. We’re very picky about clean bedding. Mattress protectors and doona covers get changed out about every 4 visitors.
@trib Is that mudbrick?
@phs it is. Both guest cottages are mudbrick.
@trib How old are they? Our main house and cottage are both mudbrick from the 80s. Not my favourite building material at this age.
@phs built in the late 90s. There was a period in this valley where everybody was building from mudbrick. The oldest one is about 40 years old. Somewhere along our road, the mudbrick machine everyone shared is lying dormant in someone's shed.
@trib I would never think to put the curtains up like that. What is the purpose?
@sbourne they swept the floor.
@trib Ahh - very long curtains then!
