also many of us didn't even get the relative safety of being assumed to be cishet even as they themselves might have not understood that they are queer.
we were kinda lucky that we didn't get bullied, but as we hear from other queers it strikes us that we seem to very much be the outlier there.
of course it's not just luck, we had the privilege of being white, from a reasonably well off family. that often goes a long way even if you're a neurodivergent egg. doesn't mean we got it without trauma, just that bullying wasn't part of that trauma.
