@matt_birchler Mac display when traveling was the primary use case, but turns out an $80 USB-C portable monitor does just as well and takes up almost no space in my laptop bag.

I sold the headset last month. The M2s are still going for nearly $2K, so I put that $$ aside in preparation for the potential folding iPhone later this year.

@matt_birchler mostly entertainment, and in rare cases, for an extremely relaxed computing environment over the course of an entire evening. in even rarer cases, exploring the state of the platform.

reminds me a lot of the early feeling of having an early iPod touch in middle school.

@matt_birchler I use it a couple of hours a day as an alternative, more comfortable way, of reviewing documents, catching up on Slack and Mastodon keeping an eye on things with lots of widgets (time zones for project partners, family photos, reminder sub lists, weather etc). I dictate more in Apple Vision Pro, but I do have a keyboard and trackpad when I need to do more typing

@matt_birchler Mac display, especially if I feel like having an ultra wide while I'm coding. Occasionally movie/show watching while immersed (For All Mankind while on the moon was an experience). Spatial FaceTimes with remote developers around the world.
