I read the new Murderbot book "Platform Decay" and enjoyed it. It basically picks up just after "System Collapse" and feels a bit like the same book only the second half. It launches a new arc which will be interesting in coming books as well.

That said, I really want season 2 to drop on Apple TV. 😃 #books #murderbot

@mdione I did enjoy season 1, and agree that the humans seem cartoonish. I attribute that to the series (and books) being told through the eyes of Murderbot who sees humans as being cartoonish. It's droll commentary on humanity are part of the fun for me.

@ChuckMcManis yes, but my impression is that the commentary in the books stays within MB's mind, but the humans are actually competent.

@mdione Agree with that, and part of the story is MB learning that humans can actually be competent and that some of the things they do aren't defects but actually well motivated.
