@chrislewislee to add more context : in "there's a sorcerer in champignac", which is the very first Spirou adventure to be released in album, first published in 1950, the characters try to enter the local lunatic scientist's home by a door that resembles a lot the one you've drawn.
Once they go inside, they see everything's wild and way bigger than anywhere else.
