Ahahahaha no tumblr no, the term egg is not unique to trans women.
It’s not erasing trans women for trans men to use it too. Or nonbinary folk.
Or hell, anyone. When you have a conscious realisation of the kind there’s no coming back from once it’s in your head consciously - that’s an egg crack.
@NanoRaptor I must admit I’ve thought of it as trans-related until now, but I take your point, and will relay my #ActuallyAutistic eggs…
What turned out to be the first small crack (just the beak poking out of a tiny hole, really), was my acceptance and self-diagnosis of being on the spectrum (or “having a touch of the ’tism”, as I now sometimes say [and as you know, not to be confused with “TISM”] {medi because this *is* serious, after all}]).
My major egg crack, break, explosion was my self-diagnosis (official ones “not available in my country or region”, although my psych agrees and has been a great help) of Pathological Demand Avoidance.
Shattered my whole world view and life, no going back, never the same again.
So, thank you…I’ll accept it 🐣
PS And I bet most, if not all, egg cracks have a *very* definite anniversary (29 January 2024 at almost 56).
