We don't say "long black" that's just a double Americano. I'm not a fan of the Americano type, straight-up espresso without milk bothers my stomach. I either have a strong drip, French press/pour-over, or if I'm out I'll get a latte or cappucino.

@mdhughes So people do say Americano? I wonder how this was a blindspot for me. I thought there was "coffee" and "long black".
@screwlisp It's like "walking simulator", a derogatory term that got accepted by the community. Starbucks sells a *LOT* of Americanos.
People who do have cast-iron stomachs can treat espresso as "drip but better".
Note espresso machines didn't really catch on in the US until late '80s, early '90s. A friend got his early, & made over half a thermos. Drank it at the pool, went into shock & had to get his stomach pumped.
@mdhughes what I have to say as I polish off this bottle of cold brewed coffee is it really makes your head spin about half an hour into your cups.
