@neve #writephant 2. Do you have a favorite pen and/or notebook?

i bought a Pentel Floatune 08 pen recently that seems to flow well. i made the mistake of writing with gel pens before, which are OK for paper, but smear everywhere if you use them on a less porous surface, like the inside cover. not doing that again.

i used to get free spiral notebooks as swag from manufacturers, and write in those. when they filled up, i bought whatever spiral notebooks looked nice, and were reasonably inexpensive. the spiral binding is a must: that way i can write with the book on my lap, without having to hold the pages open. i also tie a little strip of ribbon to the binding, which acts as a convenient bookmark.
