Looks like we'll need an MOT on ebikes, lest they explode into flames and kill a house full of people.
Or maybe better batteries that don't explode, there are alternatives to lithium, aren't there?

@Lazarou LiFePo batteries are quite safe. These converted E-bikes are probably using LiIon, which has higher energy density but much less safety,
@2legged the article did mention the danger of modified Electric Bikes, I'm all for people building their own things but safety matters.
