Nina Willburger

A stunning #Greek rhyton (drinking cup) in the shape of a wild #boar's head, 350-320 BC.
Vessels such as this one were used in drinking parties. Since they didn't have a base, the content had to be consumed before the vessel could be put down.

Do we have any idea how many of these were made or how many hours would go into making each one?

I like the idea of an ancient greek chatting with the maker about the jokes and motifs he wanted for his parties...
