More users non-Google Android apps have, the better future Android will have as a whole.

Support app creators who won't go after your data or cluter everything with predatory in-app-purchase strategies.

Even if you don't care about Open Source, embracing devs here makes your phone better.

And if you're an app creator, please consider alternatives to Patreon for donations.

For instance LiberaPay allows payments in many different currency, both by credit card or bank transfer. Bank transfers don't go through Visa or MasterCard circuits.

@lehtimaeki @fdroidorg downloaded what was there to download, and after installation it looks no different and reports back as 1.23-something, up from 1.20. Where is this "2.0a9" hidden? Not on fdroid.org, or at least not featured or even mentioned.

I only have the 2.0alpha installed so not 100% sure this works but worth a try:

Open FDroid in the Fdroid app. Scroll dowm and you should see list of versions (might be in the settings). You should be able to switch an a 20 alpha build.

@lehtimaeki @fdroidorg I was so thrilled at the features of the new F-Droid clients that I went to Neo Store and uninstalled F-Droid. It gets me to the same repositories and the same applications, and refreshes on command instead of at some time schedule that is not under my control.
