My battery powered tools are great.

But.

They all have a safety switch, let it go, tool cuts out. All that is, except the angle grinder. It has a safety that cuts out if it jams with blood & bone, but it's on until manually switched off.

I can fit various spinning blades of death, turn it on, drop it, & those death blades will continue spinning through my boots & feet until jammed with blood & bone... All my other tools would cut out before they hit my foot.

Why is it so?

#AngleGrinder

@thefathippy They have always appeared to me to be designed to maim and kill.

@thefathippy

I have a Makita plug in angle grinder, same thing.... just a somewhat awkward switch.

All of my air tools have a trigger or lever.
Every other handheld electric device I have has a trigger.

Perusing Home Depot, most of the electric angle grinders have a lever.
The ones with switches aren't all big or small.

🤷‍♂️

@oheso

@thefathippy yeah angle grinder is notorious because of that. my father was big into having every possible dangerous tool but he would try to teach me also about all the various ways things could go Very Bad with them Very Fast with a slight slip-up. loltears
