jstsmthrgk@leochavez after we had a lightnings strike enter through our internet uplink and among other things popped some capacitor off a motherboard, we started sprinkling surge protectors everywhere, now i feel a bit more safe, but no idea if it actually gelps much
@jstsmthrgk This sounds similar to what happened to me. Lightning strike in through Coax which wasn't fed through a surge protector. Took a modem and a network interface ðŸ˜
It was at that point I understood why they added Coax to the surge protectors...
I wish there were a counter somewhere that told me how many times I've been saved by a surge protector because I'm not sure either.
