I love factory/automation games. Played the classics like #Factorio, #Satisfactory and #DysonSphereProgrogram, #OxygenNotIncluded each for more than 300 hours.

Every time I play a new game it has to compare to these classics.

So many games stumble over the basics of the genre the QoL features like bulk editing, blueprints, detailed production/power/resource stats.

Most of these games are decent but could be great with these features.

I want 300 hours of factory optimization happiness galore

@themipper Have you tried a Zachtronics game?
They basically strip away the factory and just leave you with the logic puzzles of a factory.

@tokudan Yeah tried a few of them. Good games but not 300 hours good 😉

It seems that I need the giant factory and open world environment for my enjoyment.

For example shapez - while a beautiful game - doesn't click with me as it is too abstract.

@themipper I just keep coming back to Factorio. At 1600 hours so far.

@philip yeah, I do the same. It has the core loop mechanics designed to perfection.

The factory must grow 😂

And with modding you can change the gameplay in every direction you like.
