Hi Infamous, I use both Tuta and Proton, and do not know where you are coming from on this. I checked out Jan for more than a month of messages and see nothing at all on this topic.
I prefer Proton because they never post bad things about competitors (unlike Tuta) - the negative advertising really puts me off trusting a company.

I thought the post-boost from Tuta was weird as well, starting to think it might just be another negative-advertising (as I say, this is what puts me off trusting Tuta, despite their good product).
