Bytebro 🇬🇧 🇺🇦 🇬🇱For those who might get caught up in the 'Windows sucks, maybe try Linux' thing, you then find that in the Linux world there are battalions fighting over a few apparently unimportant things. The first one is X11 vs Wayland. This vid (nothing to do with me!) does a reasonable job of telling the story since about 1986/7 to now, I think.
FWIW, The other one you'll come across is systemd vs sysvinit, but if you're in the mood, that's a rabbit hole I'll leave you to jump down at this point.
