We took Haruki to Sakura picnic on Sunday, an annual Japanese car show run by the Toyota club. It's now open to all Asian makes, which makes for a fun mix. It was pissing down with rain, sadly, so we didn't stay long. Did a lap, snapped some shots then went home to change into something dry.

The Toyota club hosts lots of events and are very welcoming to all Japanese makes. They have some great cars in their club.
The Skyline had been restored around 15 years back, the owner called it an old build. I crumbled to dust.
Found the Hoondas, and son of Haruki! This is the facelifted RS version, which has a turbo. (Rip snorting power!).
I love an early Corolla, used to be so commonplace on the roads here.
Well here's a Toyota Blade, with hideous taillights. A fat Corolla with a V6.
These twin cam Corollas are quick little things; we've raced with quite a few.
Don't think you really want to pick your Subaru up by the boot.... 🤔
I remember during the height of the pandemic a dude was cruising around Melbourne with a Toyota Corona that had a numberplate that read CORONA on it 🤣
It was still pelting with rain so we headed back to the car park area to see what was there before going home.
More people were coming, but many were leaving due to the rotten weather sadly.

To this day, I do now know what possessed my parents to buy such a special thing. All their other cars up to that point, and ever afterwards, have been the most boring mainstream things you can find. No matter, it was good times while it lasted 😁
