Today, I listened to the weather forecast with my parents, in Brazil. On Sunday, São Paulo is expected to experience a "cold day" ("fará um friozinho"), with temperatures ranging from 21 C to 14 C.
Having lived in Germany for more than nine years, I find that amusing.
I also found it interesting that, in the Brazilian soap opera my mother was watching, Três Graças, two siblings are about to marry: a woman to a policewoman and a man to a trans woman. In the few minutes I watched, I also saw a middle-class man marrying a Black woman.
Growing up, I never saw anything like this on TV, so those few minutes can highlight how much social change there has been.
