Seriously though... Unless and until we harmonize our industrial systems with Nature and the world-wide ecology the economy is the thing killing the planet.

One more time, loudly for the folks at the back:

Stop driving!
Stop flying!
Stop buying (so much) crap!

Buy food from people you know.

Every time I advocate for leaving the city and regrouping in the woods someone pipes up that it's "not that easy".

You think I don't know? I've been trying for nearly a month now and yeah, it sucks.

It's too hot, or too cold, or raining. It sucks pooping in a bucket in the cold before the sun rises. And the damned bugs bite!

But the air! The quiet! The teeming life all around!

You can't buy that. You can only refrain from fucking it up.

With #Permaculture and #Syntropic Agricuture and the like we are just beginning to (re-)learn to how to participate in the incredible and durable systems that surround us and provide air, water, food, medicine, building materials, etc. and that we mostly take for granted.
