Mastodon is not going to allow colored badges anymore, but we are going to keep them in our instance. With this rate of deprecation, we can expect even more forks, but that's OK. Luckily, Mastodon is open source.

@k Yeah, with the new icon-based design... this is one of those things that didn't need to change, in my opinion. I like having separate colors for different roles. The fancy vibrant one is for supporters, purple for admins, and so on. In the future (for other instances, that is-we keep this), they are all having the same color. The weirdest thing is that they will probably keep the color setting in admin, even though it does nothing.

@radulfr Thanks for pointing that out, missed that. However, I'd much prefer the colors be set using the color picker - we have that in our fork. I can always style with [data-account-role-id="3"] too, with that change. But it doesn't really matter at this point.
