Maybe I'm biased, but I'm shocked when I see people still running iocage.

It's not that it's bad software, it just hasn't been maintained in literal years!

How are people still running software that never gets patched? Crazy to me!

For those on iocage that still need a new home, we can import your jails natively. A simple iocage export and bastille import and you're migrated to a supported platform.

@BastilleBSD isn't there a fork that gets patches which is the thing the pkg points to?
@BastilleBSD yeah maybe have another look. I already started bypassing updating iocage jails by using the way faster freebsd-rustdate. Is freebsd-rustdate supported by you?

@rvstaveren We haven’t integrated FreeBSD-rustdate but we support the new pkgbase update method, which I imagine is faster than both.

I’m glad you’re at the very least updating the jail base OS, but all the iocage tooling itself is unmaintained. Patching the OS without patching the software still leaves unacceptable security gaps imo.
