Few people expect perfection. What they expect is someone who will sincerely try to make things better, and that's a low, low, low bar to clear.

Like, I'm not sure why people think the party that regularly says "whoa, whoa, whoa, we've gone too far left, we need to hear what the Nazis have to say" is deserving of so much deference.
