Sometimes, I just have to shake my head in wonder. Over on #WillCycle, I built the frigging very best mapping system available for traffic-free cycle routes in the UK. Then I added treasure hunts (cos who doesn't like those?) and Fairy Trail (cos little kiddies deserve some magic in their lives).
I built the very unique #GPSart generator, and I built a decent cycle route builder. Then I added in seeing no ads, at all. And, to show how confident I am people will like it, I offer a FULL month's free trial. No risk, no cost! And after that, it's just 7p per day. And yet, tumbleweed...
This tells me 1 of the following is true: 1) You lot think it's not even worth trying out, for free, for a month 2) What I built is so rubbish, nobody will ever use it 3) You consider 7p per day to be a fortune 4) I've been exceedingly bad at telling you the benefits TO YOU.
Call me biased, or call me me arrogant, but I *know* what I built is good. That's Option 2 out of the picture. Sadly, I've no idea which of the remaining options are valid.
I think the route planner is ace. It's a crowded market though and you're competing with the likes of ridewithgps, cycle.travel and komoot. Getting traction will be hard and I think you need to be patient.

The best-kept secret of a great ride - find scenic routes with fewer cars.

Oh, I won't be adding to the route planner. I have no intention of competing with any of those you mentioned. In fact, originally, the route planner was going to be a back-end feature, only available to me. I aim for a different market segment to all those organisations, but I do have features none
of them have, plus several more features being planned (again, most of which nobody else has).
Some suggestions. 1. Highlight the monthly price. It's still less than a coffee a month and a bargain. 2. Highlight that it can be used to plot any trip and not just the marked traffic free routes. 3. It would be good to have a mode where you can plot routes without navigation It's ace though
Those are great suggestions, thank you. You already can plot routes, without using the navigation.
Just trying to help. AHH. I missed that, but you can show pubs on and near the route. Why isn't everyone using it for that alone hic!
And of course the crash mode and live tracker will be useful for others to locate which ditch you've fallen into whilst sozzled. Not that I've ever done that.
