Happy World Book Day!

Enjoy your journeys!

@mina What a wonderful day, I had no idea! Time to head to the library to hang out with all the books.

@hamatti

Always a great idea!

Is it sunny in Helsinki, too?

@mina I'm in Turku right now but yes, lovely sunny and somewhat warm day. Our library is at the river bank so I might borrow a book and sit outside to read.
@mina I picked up Kaspar Colling Nielsen's Frelseren fra Hvidovre in Finnish translation to celebrate the day. The synopsis sounded too good to skip.
@mina nice illustration

@puniko

I love it.

He's argentinian, but many of his illustrations are wordless and universal.

@josemariadebona

En realidad, el dibujo lo encontré hace unos años en infobae y me gustó tanto que lo robé.

@puniko

@mina Thats exactly what I experience while reading a book!

I brought 2 home from library. One is historic.

@mina was für ein toller Cartoon!

@mina
Genau das !💯

# aus gegebenem Anlass habe ich mir Going Zero von Anthony McCarten für meine Sammlung zugelegt und kann sagen.. klare Leseempfehlung!

@mina Happy World Book Day to you as well! I wish you wonderful escapes and peaceful pageturning.
@mina
Yap I have a book I want to read .... Rich dad poor dad do you have some information on it
@lsmael12345 @mina Robert Kiyosaky explains the different educations he received from two father figures, who taught him different ways to deal with money. And he tries to teach, through his book, how to earn passive income. He is also very critical of the educative system because, he states, teaches nothing about money.
@felixllopart @mina
How can we get that book... Even if it is one so that we can share it with the children it's meanings is great
@felixllopart @mina Thanks
But this is of copyright and I like to have some copies to give everyone so that they can read and gain more knowledge in life
You know I only read a single page but I found it interesting what do you think will be the solution to this??

@mina

Where else but Mastodon can we get conversation in so many languages. and Happy World Book Day! You truly see the world here!

@mina Usually I walk once per year from the Shire to Mount Doom (and back). The only voyage on foot where my knee doesn't hurt.

@masek

I have not undertaken it so often, only a dozen or so times, but it's always worth it!

@mina You shall pass 😁
@mina Liniers, an argentinian cartoonist.

@mdione

Indeed. It says so on the cartoon's right side.

@mina i thought this was a drawing about phones and the news constantly blaring the catastrophes of our world into our heads.
Then I realized that was Mordor.

Maybe I should find a ring to throw at a mountain or something.

@mina

Eine tolle Vorlage für ein selbst gemachtes Lesezeichen!
