I was checking stuff to really drop off here unless I have to post something and damn there is no RSS feed.
That's a bit of a shame cuz it's the way I want to truly organize stuff, It's easier when I can go and specifically look at someone instead of letting things flow around at random.
You can still doomscroll here pretty much, and by accident of all things.
There's no amount of lists that can organize this like FeedBro can organize RSS feeds.
I'm migrating a lot of my social interaction online to not become social interaction online, mostly cuz I'm still completely unestable economically due to my own nature of being and tbh this place was helpful for a bit but lately it's been more like absolute bullshit all over the place, to a degree in which I started doubting if there are any ideals, morals or ethics worth following anymore.
So yeah I'm just putting out that intro and I'm going to attempt to really keep this quiet and unseen.
Making an introduction pinned post with some extra general info:
-Sound magician, composer and producer of music
-I'm a curious person with a random amount of knowledge about a random amount of things
-Slowly veganizing myself
-NB ace
-Coneisseur of the most unexpected videogames
-Everyone thinks I would be good at coding but I'm just somewhat good at understanding it without understanding the language
-AI is shit and should die
-USA too
-De la terreta (for spanish people)

Sex work is work, prompting LLMs is not

Microsoft’s terms of service said Copilot was “for entertainment purposes only.”

An Nvidia executive said AI is more expensive than humans.

Google argued in German court that everyone knows they can’t trust AI.

The tech industry has bet a trillion dollars on something they know doesn’t work.

Ersatz it's dollcoded media I don't have to explain myself.

boosts highly appreciated:

this is an extremely long shot but maybe you all can help me find a niche indie game i played like 6+ years ago and forgot about and just remembered today
  • i'm pretty sure it was on itch
  • top down, 2d, pixel art(??? maybe???) kind of style
  • i believe it was mostly story based
  • i think it was very snowy iirc lots of snow in the environment
  • protagonist character i think had like medium to dark brown hair
  • i remember there being an asset either in the game itself or on the website or wherever called "<protagonist> bedhead" which was like a nice drawing of the protag with messed up hair. actually i wanna say it was like a little mini dress up type of thing and you could choose between that option or another option or two for the style maybe. maybe. but that was definitely in there
  • possibly maybe it was rpgmaker?? if not i assume it was made with some kind of similar engine. i remember one thing was that it ran in a little window it didn't run fullscreen or at least it didn't want to run fullscreen
  • overall cute and cosy vibe
i know that like barely narrows anything down but if it rings a bell for you please give me any clues im like. honestly i doubt it's worth putting this much effort into but it's got into my head and i can't live now without knowing what game it was damnit

alternatively if you know of any good ways i can try to get the data off my hard disk. basically there used to be an ntfs partition on an external hard disk that i had windows to go installed on which i'm like 80% certain the game was on that partition but some idiot past winter deleted said partition to make more space for the other one on the same disk, however not too much was written over it hopefully. i'm currently running photorec over the whole disk (which is kinda fun anyway it's really dredging up some ancient memories) however that's taking a long time and it'll take even longer to try to look through everything it's found. if you know a better way. like something i could use even to just look at the data on the disk in a kind of graphical overview of where stuff is written to so i can maybe try to find like the start of the old partition or something idfk if youve got any idea id like to know

thank you <3
