tentivFinished the first two books of Dan Simmon’s Hyperion Cantos, it was very uplifting and put me in the mood for 1700s poetry. So I started reading Faust! It’s surprisingly easy to follow and filled me with a sort of cosmic empathy. It got me thinking, what would it be like to see the world as God does, to reconcile billions upon billions of different lives and viewpoints, human and nonhuman, into a single harmonious hymn that sounds and resounds with love? I’m not alone, I’m surrounded by all of Creation! Dear reader, I love you!
