Obsidian Web Clipper now lets you manage highlights, and stays in Reader mode when you click links.

It's such a pleasant way to browse the web. You can control the colors, fonts, and easily copy anything to Markdown.

@kepano Looks fantastic! For website where I may not desire it, is there a way to turn off "open in reader mode" if I'm selecting links within Reader mode?
@aaronjz You can always open in a new tab, or disable Reader from within the link you followed (via hotkey, context menu, or button)
@kepano thank you ! Is it already available in 1.6.1? When im in reader mode and open another link on the same tab, reader mode is not preserved
@danymat Yes it should work in 1.6.1. Which browser are you using? Maybe close/reopen.

@kepano indeed a close reopen worked on orion

However, it seems like the reader mode persistance works when following links, but not when changing the link on the address bar (maybe thats a limitation)

By the way, when following links, the address bar seems to remove the url and history (at least on orion)

@danymat the first is intentional
the second is a limitation of Orion/Safari
@kepano @danymat This is great! Also at least on mobile Safari, back takes you out of reader mode. I’m guessing that’s also a technical limitation?
@kepano Such beautiful work!
