I face constant denial, pushback, and even socially triangulated emotional violence from Whites and PoC with proximity to whiteness, for speaking on this exact point throughout NorCal in general, and the San Francisco Bay Area in specific, and it's absolutely exhausting.

At the risk of whatever, this is why "Leftism" is -- not always, but very often -- a *waste of time* for many many many Black folks in this country.
If you're in those spaces, you will always be fighting two fights. Props if you care to do it, but -- and this is a real question one has to ask -- what are they getting done? If anything?

More frustrating than people who refuse to divest themselves of whiteness, are my own people who aspire to class privileges that can only exist so long as a permanent underclass exists, meaning Black people.
It’s just like how the most likely perpetrators of pathological violence are one’s own family and close family friends, so by extension community, those who should stand up with us in class solidarity, but are captured by the logic and social-psychology of neoliberal values, the myths of Black capitalism and instead always prey upon, exploit those near them.
Thats a lot of big words, and I do understand them, but the older I get the less value I see in ANY of this class solidarity stuff. Leftism/socialism/communism blah blah blah.
The only people actually *doing anything* in this space are 1) very clever and working through and around the system and 2) forever doomed to be called out in the stupidest of ways
