@ai6yr consider posts and threads in the backyard. That gives you lengths, fairly accurate measurements...

Gives you a chance to go buy colored yarn somewhere and the people that sell colored yarn. Yarn-dealers.

Then you tie a few knots or tie off on cheap wood screws. Different colors for different stuff.

And when you take it down, you can knit a sweater. ๐Ÿ˜
