Playing ATS and the fuel prices have not kept up. Just got diesel in-game in Ontario, Oregon for 92 cents a liter. iRL, cheapest diesel in Ontario, OR is $1.40/l.

I expect Oklahoma to be even more fucked up. A reasonable price to pay for diesel in Oklahoma, historically, is anything under $2/gal. The low end is now $1.25/l

Like in #ATS if I roll into any fuel station and I see a price under $1.75/l right now, I'm 100% feeling like I'm getting away with highway robbery.

#USPol

Like, I can legitimately remember when US$1.20/US Gal was typical and British Columbia was like "Oh yeah, well, how's this 20.4¢/l sound?"
What surprises me more is that the CAD/USD conversion has been flat since college even though I'd say the CAD is way stronger...
This sounds wild, but when you adjust for inflation and exchange rate, this is closer to 8c US to the liter in today's money

@BalooUriza Growing up in NY, I used to pay 99¢ a gallon. And for over a decade after that pretty much anywhere I went on the east coast diesel was always cheaper than gasoline, often by a significant amount!

Down here in my area of Florida right now the cost of diesel has gone up faster than the price of gasoline. It's got to be hell for OO's at this point trying to make a buck on the road. Suddenly your $150 fill up is like $300!
