Can anyone tell me how to disable all IPv6 traffic in a UDM-SE?

@AlexandraB pulling the plug usually does the trick if you don't want network traffic. Or disabling network connectivity entirely. Or you want them to continue to work on some legacy protocol? ;)
@jschwart ๐Ÿ˜„ It would be nice to have the option to use IPv4 only ๐Ÿ˜œ

@AlexandraB I wouldn't really know to be honest. I guess you're aware that IPv6 is considered the production ready version whereas IPv4 is the alpha/beta version of the protocol by the people who created it.

Maybe someone else has an idea to use just IPv4, but I could imagine that such variant isn't supported/tested anymore.
If you are struggling with IPv6 for any reason, I could possibly help with overcoming that.

@jschwart Thatโ€™s kind of you to offer ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
I just hate it when #iot devices start communicating autonomously. Especially when you canโ€™t configure the device settings #philips #hue
I isolated the network so security-wise it should be fine.

@AlexandraB you're welcome! I've been running it for more than half my life by now. It might appear daunting, but it's actually easier in many ways than IPv4.

I recognize what you mean regarding lack of control. I don't like such devices that I can't fully control either and I avoid them as much as possible. It would seem good if you could somehow gain shell access to them.

An isolated network at least keeps things walled-off, but yeah full control is nicer :)

@AlexandraB Edit each LAN network in the settings and under IPv6 interface type select none.

To disable it on the WAN go to internet, edit your connection, scroll you IPv6 Configuration, select disable.

@jeremyllawson Thanks for your reply. I did all that and ended up contacting unifi support. They said it is probably due to the client, which sounded a bit weird to me tbh. When I disable all IPv6 traffic on my router then I wouldnโ€™t expect that the client is still allowed to do neighbor sollicitations? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ
