Good Dog Rex@Daojoan that's why I no longer watch anything. I read books: either borrowed in our local or county libraries or bought from independent local bookshops (or bookshop org, if I want ebook, with our local bookshop linked). And honestly, I think this is one of the best things that happened to me in the past several years.
Norman Wilson@good_dog_rex @Daojoan I read lots of books too, always have. But I also borrow DVDs and CDs from my local library, buying stuff I like enough or that the library doesn't have. Lots of stuff there that's hard to find streaming, especially older stuff; certainly more than enough for the time I want to spend watching or listening.
@oclsc @Daojoan yeah. Totally. Libraries have a lot of wonderful... well, everything. From events and books to tools. With all the stuff going on and all of us stretched thin, I find myself focusing on just several things, and one of them - supporting our libraries: using their services, donating money, buying merch and books from the friends of the library, voting "yes" to support library budgets. I am certain: reading makes us better humans.

And things like Lynda.com (or did they change the name?), Great Courses, and so much more! Soooo much content - for free! Our almost free, depending where you live.

But I am more likely to look for specific things, often old and obscure. I don't just browse there. So Kanopy is fine, it just doesn't fit my need.
