One of my "whom ... to" constructs was recently 'corrected' to "... to whom".
leighelse{}@libroraptor @HeatherInNZ I've had my "none of them was wearing shoes" immediately corrected with "you mean 'none of them =were= wearing shoes', don't you?"
To which I just say "no" and smile quietly.

@HeatherInNZ I once tried to articulate it back around the turn of the century in a sort of clumsy way by saying the Internet was the hardware and software infrastructure, whereas the internet was the emergent superset of people and applications. Culture and mythos go all the way back to the early days and are ingrained to the point where they're hard to tease out from design and engineering.
