Deaths from conflicts involving the U.S. military are totaled for every year between 2001 and 2025. Each conflict has an estimated minimum and maximum death total based on available data. Maximum death estimates include an estimate of indirect as well as direct deaths.
An individual’s death contribution is calculated by multiplying their tax contribution by a yearly deaths/dollar ratio (total deaths / defense department inlays from income tax).
