Lauren Philpot is an amazing young local woman. She raises awareness and fundraises for Breast Cancer Network Australia in honour of her mum, Leigh, who passed away from breast cancer in 2023.

From 2023-2025, participation rates in a breast screening within Footscray was only 52.30% - lower than the statewide average.
