Who makes people "keep working" around their coworker's dead body.

And who follows that "rule"? What a world, Jeff.

@QueenOfTheCroneAge

Had to look this up couldn't believe it!

@QueenOfTheCroneAge

No time to pay your respects to your fallen colleague. Gotta get that label maker out. It's what they would have wanted.

@TheBreadmonkey

Yep. Maybe Lauren Sanchez-Bezos can do another NY Times cover about how happy she is.

@TheBreadmonkey @QueenOfTheCroneAge @thygrrr I've seen a story like this three times over the last few years, different people. Unfortunately, it never seems to end in better policies at Amazon.

@QueenOfTheCroneAge

Good grief. When people passed at work (it was kind of expected given where I was) the care team who’d worked with them were at least allowed a bit of time out, especially if it was traumatic and we debriefed at the end of the shift.

We are not humans, we are seen as resources and cogs. But if enough cogs get gritty the machine stops.

Get gritty.

@QueenOfTheCroneAge a man died of a stroke at my Amazon warehouse. I wasn't on shift, but I heard about it. I was kinda zonked out working nightshift, couldn't really process grief..
