I used to think Itch was better until they started capitulating on removing "adult content" (as loosely defined by pearl-clutching conservatives)...

@luxliquida the amount of money we receive from itch is way more than on steam, so that's better
closer to launch the answer can change because purchasing metrics and steam reviews can set a game's visibility for years to come so buying+reviewing on steam becomes maybe better than buying on itch even though we get less money from it
but if it's been more than a couple months since release, itch is better
