Take it from me. Stepping away from toxic people is always conducive to getting more done on the important things.

@heidilifeldman Indeed, but oh but oh, how does one step away from a toxic dictator?

(I know, you don't, you fight!)

@elaterite I step away from the less world-threatening toxic people to fight the toxic dictator!

@elaterite @heidilifeldman

One steps away from a toxic dictator en-masse, with all of their family and friends.

The Romans called it Sessecio.

When we stop acting like slaves we might stop being treated as slaves.

We will need food in the fields and forests to sustain us. Food in our backyards and in the parks. The more people can eat for free the longer we can sustain a real movement.

Secessio plebis - Wikipedia

@Sea1Am Interesting. @elaterite
@heidilifeldman @Sea1Am Ya, interesting. That First Secession (494BCE) story rings some bells given our present situation.
@elaterite @heidilifeldman #caturday #owlsintowels and the such like seems to work here for short periods of time at least! 🙃
@heidilifeldman Step away from the important things too. Fukital.

@heidilifeldman

There is more wisdom to this advice than many (most?) people can imagine.

@EthicalProfessor @heidilifeldman Yeah, unless you're up to Don Quijote, don't waste your time. A good friend of mine used to say: Don't argue with a limited mind. First it tries to drag you down to its level, there, it beats you by experience."

@Amorpheus @heidilifeldman

Agatha Christie once wrote, "Good advice is almost certain to be ignored."

@heidilifeldman [nervously checking to see if Heidi recently unfollowed me 😅]
