Hmm, softshell fabric not cheap... about $28.00 per yard. (if I were theoretically going to sew myself a new softshell jacket). #sewing

@ai6yr Thrift stores? You might something(s) with the right fabric that would less. You do run the risk of finding something that's OK, actually, just the way it is.

@sbourne that would not be as fun, lol. I could easily find a cheap thrift store softshell jacket that would work, but then I wouldn't have the opportunity to sew it!

@sbourne $20-25 on eBay or on Shopgoodwill would do it, but then... no fun sewing my own, lol.
