Two things printed. Both could be scraped off with a fingernail. One metal, one plastic.

So both now sprayed with acrylic.

Oddly metal all "bobbled" up, and then went down as it dried. Plastic one did not.

The issue is (you can see bottom right of QR) the acrylic and print can still be scraped off with a fingernail.

Anyone know of a clear cover spray, perhaps even UV cured, that is solid and not easily removed like this?

@revk From my rudimentary knowledge of paint, there's not much you can do to get adhesion to metal without some fairly comprehensive surface prep. Plastic is much easier depending on the type, as there's a lot of "solvent based" primers that literally fuse with the plastic, and I wouldn't be surprised if they made clearcoat versions that could "fix" the print in place.

(Tamiya spray paints use Butyl Acetate, one of the solvents in their "plastic cement", and that stuff is tough once hardened onto the part; the only way it's coming off is if you take some of the plastic with it. But it only works on plastic, and will flake off of metal if you look at it wrong)

@becomethewaifu I would hope some clear and really solid UV cured resin spray maybe?
