One thing I wanted for when I participate in songfight was probably more important than "being yourself" / "being myself".

It was mainly about that the process of creating a song should be fun and entertaining.

To accomplish that is probably the hardest!

"The official start time for your song is 06:23 UTC (Monday, 13 April 2026)."

This is supposedly the date where I "started working on the song".

Being on Mastodon is something I haven't tried yet in combinations with songfight participation but I think it works to a song creator's advantage and here's why:

If the due date for the song in question has expired but you can still send submissions because you don't see a new song...I'm going somewhere with this...

THEN if *suddenly* you reload the page and you see a new song...if you are a bit shy(like me) you might publish your song on the Fediverse instead!
