Presenting the backlog bingo board for 2026. Expecting to start making progress through my holiday break, so might as well put it up now. Still don't have a TV setup, so PS5/PS4 games are unlikely to get much attention for the moment, and I need to get a new PS2 for those games too.

Hookah Haze tried to copy VA-11 HALL-A's homework, but only got it right on the surface. Unlike VA-11 HALL-A, it has nothing particularly interesting to say or for the player to latch onto as a thread to unravel over the course of the game. It's just kind of a predictable, unremarkable story set to some fantastic pixel art and some okay VN music. Maybe my expectations were just really high, but I'm sad I didn't like this as much as I had hoped.

Can't say much about The House in Fata Morgana without spoiling it, because it's one of _those_ games. Can definitely be a difficult read at times, but I'm glad I stuck through it to the end. Experience it as blindly as you can, maybe after checking the content warnings first.
