There's been talk of Eurovision Asia for years, but there are now 10+ confirmed countries (including Korea), as well as a venue (Bangkok) and date (14th November), so it might finally be real!

The Contest will be broadcast in partnership with Thailand’s Channel 3, with broadcasters from 10 countries across Asia confirmed with more to be announced in the coming months, each bringing their own voice, identity and storytelling to the stage.

Eurovision Song Contest

@pjf vaguely insulted that Australia isn’t (doesn’t seem to be) invited. We’re much more “part of Asia” than we are “part of Europe “ and we go to the European one!

(Ive no idea why we go to the European one!) (yes, i know its “money”, but that doesn’t really explain why!)

@leadegroot : My understanding of Australia competing is "outstanding enthusiasm" and "sheer ridiculousness", both of which are valued highly in the Eurovision.
@pjf not sure if i'll also boycott it, it will depend if Morrocanoil will sponsor it or not (being as it's a Israeli company...)
@pjf omg so tempted if there are actually flights operating still that aren't firstborn-child expensive.
