Sad to see the state of Ubuntu today.   

This distro was always a little criticized for being bloated by Linux elitist even when it started in late 2004. But it all in one and ready to use philosophy was a good entry point for a lot of Linux newbies at the time.

Things would have been different if instead of going with Unity back in 2010, Ubuntu sticked to Gnome 2 then switched and supported the development of Mate.
