He did not create this image. It's unlikely that he even provided detailed instructions to the artist on all the icons that were to be included. This was put together by his sycophants, in order to reinforce the MAGA "Christian" blasphemy that "Trump IS Jesus". That's what is truly despicable.

Jesus also stands for suffering, persecution and sacrifice, so to place oneself in line with him points to self-interpretation as a misunderstood and unjustly treated subject.
In addition, there is a strong identification with moral authority, i.e. one's own position is set as "correct" and absolute.
