My very nice z1-p came with a broken but complete rubber eye cup. This is common. The rubber degrades. But the first time I took it out of the house; a piece fell off and was lost. I was bummed because it looks ugly without the cup. But they are unavailable. 😥😥 However (1/2)…

…(2/2) although it’s a surprisingly complex shape I was able to make a (fairly) passable 3d print replacement with just a few minutes of measuring and drafting in fusion 360! Fits securely and v2 is already printing! #BelieveInFilm #3dPrinting #CameraGear

V2 is even better but I definitely didn’t get the filleting right, so one more try! The fit is good, though, and will stay on well. Incidentally the remaining piece of the original disintegrated further just from measuring it to copy the dimensions! It was not going to be salvaged!
